Henry Van Wyngaarden is on the board and semi-retired, working for the Region 4 School District. Prior, he owned several companies including O’Henry’s Market and the 7-Up Bottling Company and Hargrave Security, both in Windsor, Ontario. Henry graduated university with a business degree and speaks five languages. Henry’s enthusiasm for cars began while living in Enschede, The Netherlands, where is father owned an Audi dealership. He currently owns a “write me a ticket” 1966 Cobra and a 1962 Unimog which was shipped over from Amsterdam.
Garry Johnson is on the board and is a retired Chief Technology Officer living in Essex, Connecticut. He has traveled the world (40 countries in his log book), soloed in a Cessna 172SP, and is an avid Formula One fan having traveled to over 40 F1 races in the US and Europe. Garry always has something “quick” in his garage. His current machine is a C7 Corvette convertible.
Dr. Robert W. Powitz is on the board and is the Health and Safety Coordinator for the Essex Auto Club. He served as a municipal Health Director for over 50-years and is currently a private practitioner in Public Health forensics. Bob began his love of classic vehicles as a teen and has restored several professional cars and trucks. He is currently the proud owner of an original 1935 Model 48 Ford Tudor Deluxe sedan.
